Aaron Dendy is an immigration attorney and owner of Dendy Law, PLLC. Raised by a single mother with meager means in rural Alabama, Aaron did not take the typical road to becoming an attorney. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham on a full scholarship in order to prepare for a career in medicine. However, after completing an internship with a Memphis non-profit in 2008 where he learned of the tragic injustices taking place across our world, Aaron changed courses to attend law school. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2012. While at Alabama, Aaron was the Articles Editor for the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review and won awards while competing with International Criminal Court moot court team. He also spent a semester in Pune, India, interning with Freedom Firm, a non-profit organization that fights against child prostitution. Experiences like these further developed Aaron’s passion to fight for the most vulnerable in society. He began his immigration career as a law clerk in Alabama’s largest immigration defense firm in 2011. After working with the firm for over 2 years a clerk and attorney, he and his wife Erin moved to China for one year. While in China, Aaron taught management and economics at a local university. He returned to the United States in the summer of 2014 with a renewed desire to help immigrants remain in the United States.
Aaron has handled hundreds of immigration court hearings as an attorney and looks forward to building upon his experience as he fights for immigrants in Nashville and across the country. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Alabama, and any immigration court in the United States.
